Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BPD Unboxed ("we", "us") handles information when you visit bpdunboxed.com and its subdomains, including datascrub.bpdunboxed.com (the "Site"). Short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and we tell you plainly about the few outside services the Site relies on.

Questions about privacy? Email bpd.unboxed@gmail.com.

1. Information you give us

  • Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you.
  • Contact form. The contact form on the homepage does not currently send or store your message anywhere. To reach us, please email the address above.
  • Email list. If you sign up for a free download (for example on bpdunboxed.com/free), we receive your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use them to send you the download and occasional emails from BPD Unboxed. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
  • Purchases. When you buy from the shop, checkout happens on Stripe's secure payment page. Stripe collects your name, email, shipping address and payment details. We never see or store your full card number. We receive your order details and shipping address so the order can be fulfilled.

2. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the Site and keep it secure.

We also use Metricool, a web analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages and links people find useful. When a page loads, Metricool receives technical information such as the page viewed, the site that referred you, and your browser and device type. We only look at this in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

3. Outside services we use

  • Vercel hosts the Site and processes the technical request data described above.
  • Stripe processes payments. Its handling of your data is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Printful prints and ships shop orders, and receives your name and shipping address for that purpose only. See the Printful Privacy Policy.
  • MailerLite stores our email list and sends our emails. See the MailerLite Privacy Policy.
  • Metricool provides the visit statistics described above. See the Metricool Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts serves the fonts the Site uses, so your browser contacts Google's servers to load them.
  • Google AdSense may show ads on parts of the Site (see below).

4. Advertising and cookies

Parts of the Site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where the law requires it (for example, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

5. What we don't do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information.
  • We do not ask for, collect or store health information about you. Visit statistics are only looked at in aggregate, and nothing you read here is tied to your name or email.
  • We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

6. How long we keep information

We keep emails only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Email list subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Order records are kept as long as needed for fulfillment, returns, and tax and accounting obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how it is used. Email bpd.unboxed@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Not medical advice

Content on BPD Unboxed is education and lived experience, not medical or psychological treatment. If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Elsewhere, contact your local emergency number.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
